Well i think every single player should take a 25% wage cut for the shambles we are in, they can take it and show some responability but getting us back up, if they disagree then get rid of them either way our wage bill will go down and some sort of transfer fee will come in helping the club money wise.
We can replace many areas with our hot prospects who are dying to prove themselves and a few will hold their own i thinks.
But like to see us cut down the squad first and then work from the back re-building sensiably no rushed transfers or stupid loans.
Leicester didnt lose many did they and there storming it, if we can keep the spine of the team fit and ready for league one we should bounce straight back.

i went to senegal fields on saturday (my boyfriend is a millwall supporter, sorry) and believe me, we are nowhere near as good as leicester. they are a very strong side and it was easy to see why they are top. bleeding loud supporters too.
oh, and i think one season in the third division, then back up.
Hudson and Fortune or Ward would be good pairing at the back, still would rather have an ugly brut at the back ala Youds or that bloke we nearly signed from Hull.. or one of the southend CB's
Having to sit through Colchester v Crewe on Saturday we have a lot to look forward to. NOT.
If we can play football and keep it on the floor we should do well. The problem will be, what sort of team will we have?
We have players that can play football but these players don't know how to play and win matches.
Which players stay/leave will depend how we fare as we all know we don't have much to spend.
Bailey staying and being played in his position of centre-mid (not on the left) alongside Racon would be a massive plus and together with a decent striker being bought would give us a great chance of bouncing straight back IMO.

I heard a rumour that Charlton will be be closed down tomorrow, all our records expunged from the books, the Valley razed to the ground and all mention of Charlton Athletic made illegal.
Supporting Charlton will become a criminal act and any one who does not convert to supporting one of Sky 4 will be sent to Guantanamo Bay (did you think they were letting the previous occupants out for their own good or to free up room for some new "guests")
In a few years time a half a dozen hard core fanatics, all that remains of a once proud support, will perish in a hideous bloodbath when their hide-out, an abandoned flat on the Ferrier Estate, is discovered by the SAS.
And after that there will be nothing .....................
Until then remember to Live, Love, Laugh and Be Happy
if EITHER of Bailey/Racon stayed it will be a bonus. Clubs in the Championship at least will want Bailey, maybe even a promoted Club. Likewise Racon, definately a Championship player. I imagine the Club will want to lose Hudson purely due to his wages. The other high earners are out of contract anyway and I very much doubt any will stay, even if we wanted them to. ZZ is way too good for League 1 and imo more suited to the PL. Another massive rebuilding exercise. As a result mid table and then a real push the following season is the likely scenario although a play off place may be an outside chance if the new manager can get the team to gel.
am hoping that as Racon hasn't actually played that many games for us due to injury etc. he might not have attracted too much attention and we might just be able to hold onto him.
Bailey will obviously attract a fair bit of interest but just hope he might decide to give us one year in Div One to see if we can get straight back up.
if they both go it will leave a huge hole in centre-mid - one I can't see my favourite (not) player Spring filling...
would, Yoga LB Basey CB Mambo CB and a new RB be good enough?
No chance. Not enough experience or quality there. Not saying none of them could be part of our defence in the future, but not all 3 of them together next season.

Probably that Millwall tosser in the Snu will pick up on this post and make it the centrepiece for his well informed sub fanzine level column!
By the way I believe that with a bit of jiggery pokery we will be promoted at the first time of asking.
Just thinking, if young Jonny Fortune said on the telly that he's out for another 6 months, even though he's out of contract on 30 June - he's probably going nowhere, is he?
The club are not going to just chuck out an injured but quality player, after 10 years loyal service and impeccable conduct.
They're probably going to offer him another contract on reduced terms, with a proviso that'll they will listen to offers if we're not promoted next season or whatever.
That way Fortune, as an injured player keeps job security while he gets fit - and the club has him on a contract to protect their investment.
Did he mean 6 months altogether or 6 months from now? I assumed he meant from when he got injured.
Either way, I agree he might end up just staying here. It'll be interesting to see what he does, would he be happy to take a drop in wages or not. He'd surely get a few good offers from Championship clubs, but if he stays he'll be a regular. Possibly would have a chance of being made captain, especially if Parkinson doesn't want to give it to a new signing.
If he's not fit enough at the beginning of the season, which still seems unlikely, I can't see many clubs beating down the door to sign him, the same as with ZZ in January.
A ruptured achillies tendon is a nasty injury and, as Harry Arter has proved, it can often be at least 6 months recuperating plus another 3 months to build up muscle wastage and general fitness - let alone fit enough to play a League match.
Anyone seen the Fortune TV link in the 'Fortune on Telly' thread ?
Forts showed the special boot he has to wear - it's about a size 14 Moon walking boot.
He's a long way from playing a 1st team match.
So my guess, the club will look after him, get him on a 3 year contract with escape clauses - and if our new season goes tits up or we desperately need the money, then he becomes a very saleable asset.

I obviously hope Parky can "do a Mike Bailey" and get us straight back.
lol that's what i really wish!

Spine:
Elliot, Hudson,Fortune, Bailey, Racon, Jonjo, Dickson, Gray.
Fortune is out of contract, Gray and Hudson are on decent wages. Other clubs will be looking at Bailey, Jonjo and Racon.
We could need a completely new back four.
NO imo

100% agree..

I honestly believe if we keep those two, which admittedly will be difficult, then some of the others can go.
With Elliot in goal, a couple of solid defenders, and Dickson and Kandol up top we'll be too much to handle for a lot of teams.
Can't see the likes of Moutakil, Sam, Basey, Holland, Semedo going so think we can still have a very strong side.
In times of trouble, stay optimistic!!

Win-win situation for everybody.
