Liverpool FC have just appointed a head hunter to manage the recruitment of their next Chief Executive Officer, early in 2011.
They have chosen the same head hunter as was used by Arsenal, when they eventually recruited Ivan Gazidis. Gazidis was chosen in a recruitmant process ahead of Peter Varney.
Could this mean Varney will be in the frame for the Anfield job? And, more importantly, if he is *not* in the frame, does that indicate he's busy with another group, looking to take over a certain South East London football club?

yes. Perhaps when the dust has settled they will swap jobs. It all began to go wrong when PV left.
Strange re-writing of history there.

Well said - a thread with that title could crash the forum when everyone tries to open it!
