As a Watford fan I thought you were the better side 1st half.

Closing us down well and playing the better football.

Not sure what happened to your guys 2nd half...seemed to lose attacking threat although our 2nd was a cracker no-one (Rasiak - good player but rather lazy at times like Priskin0 could do anything about and we nicked the win really.

The sort if you were top of the league you'd win 3-2!

If its any bit of consolation you looked better than palarse at times and that number 4 Bailey is good.

Not sure about your full backs though but ours aren't that good either.

Good luck next season..maybe you'll do a Leciester (or maybe pull off some great escape this season although it seems your manager has given up)

I do remember a few fans ringing up 606 complaing about Curbishley and thought surely you guys must be happy with the Premiership positioning!?

What do you guys blame mostly for the decline?...board for making rash appointments/bad usage of transfer funds?

Your still getting good support/attendences and unlike us don't appear to have wasted millions on rash signings as we did last season?

    Where to start?

Curbs was always going to be a hard act to follow. Dowie was a poor appointment and we have never really recovered from that. He blew £12 million on dross (Reid arguably excepted although he was injured 50% of the time with us).

Les Reed was on a hiding to nothing, great coach but not a manager.

Most of us were pleased Pardew was appointed. Did well at Reading and West Ham and as a former player knew Charlton and it's idiosyncracies or so we thought.

Sadly the man's ego was bigger than his ability and he too largely wasted £12 million on dross. (Zheng Zhi excepted who was Reed's player really and also has been long term injured). Parkinson inherited a sinking ship and no money. Performanes have improved under him but results have not so some of the natives are restless.

In summary Curbishley was a fantastic manager and we are seeing that with each passing week.

    What went wrong with Boothroyd?

He seemed like the Messiah at one time.

A bit like Dowie/Pardrew (2 more "bright hopes" for the future) really...quite a big ego and wasted an awful lot of money and as when we were losing fans started to dislike the longball stuff than did win us promotion but little friends or points after that despite the early season burst of last season which was really built around 2 players in King and on-loan Adam Johnson.

However is has taken time for Rodgers to get results though but I think people have become more confidence with him in the main.
