Academic now but was our "3rd" goal really offside?

Didn't look like it was to us but anyone in east or west stands get a better view.
Would have changed the game... Well maybe ...
And nice finish was it burton?

It was Burton but can't say whether the offside was corect.
  • I thought he ran on from our half and so he couldn't have been off side, I'll have to wait until the highlights to see for real though.
  • was a mile off from where I sat practically level in the East Stand.
  • looked well off from the west upper, too. Burton knew it ,too, I felt . His ''celebration'' had the air of fakery about it for me ...
  • def offside, he would never have finished that calmly otherwise!
  • Very few mistakes are made on off-side these days and this one was clear cut.
What the idiots who sit round me need to realise is the decision is made on when the ball is played not when it is recieved. Burton was standing on his own when the ball went forward by the time he got it defenders had come in to play as they ran back. But he was in an offside posistion when the ball was played forward and therefore gaining an unfair advantage.
It's so simple if you watch the game, and not the ball.

A simple 'yes' would have sufficed, tool.
