What can we as a club do next season?

edited March 2009 in General Charlton
First of all, I have to say I wasn't at today's game.

I have been thinking about Charlton a lot lately, and what can we do to get OUR club back to how it should be, and how WE want it.

Obviously we can't do anything about the players and staff, so that's irrelevant here.

We need to get back to the fun things again.

When we moved up to the prem, we lost all the supporter participation before kick-off and at half time. We used to involve the school kids, what happened to that?

We used to have races, penalty kick games, we should get them back, and have inter-school competitions. Get the kids on the pitch before the game singing/dancing, anything to get them looking forward to coming to the Valley. What about the club holding a local music competition for local up and coming groups with one playing a few songs before every kick-off?

Remember when every now and then we would have a piper playing his pipes as the team run out?

Ok, it might cost a little in prize money, etc. But we need to make people come to the ground, because lets face it, we will struggle to get people to come to the Valley in the 3rd div. So we need to make them want to come.
