Meanwhile, Parkinson insists Yassin Moutaouakil still has a future with the club, despite the Frenchmen apparently falling out of favour in recent weeks.
Loan moves for Graeme Murty and then Danny Butterfield have led to suggestions that the former France U21 captain is not in Parkinson's plans.
That's not the case according to the manager, though, who says that hard work and application from the player could see him earn a first-team return.
"We've had one or slight issues with Yassin in terms of his discipline,” said Parkinson. "So we needed to resolve those.
"He's got a lot to offer in terms of his athleticism, but also he has to accept that there are things in his game that he has to work on. If he accepts that, then Yassin could be a very good player.”
Still get the feeling he'll be sold. Parkinson's not been sure about him from the start. Seems like he probably thinks he's done enough when he's played, and isn't happy that Parkinson keeps dropping him, sometimes even after he's played well.
Near end of McLeod story

I'm sure Parkinson won't though...
Parky doesn't rate him, Pardew didn't. If he does get a run of games it'll be because we don't have any fit loan right backs to play.
But his first role is to defend and from what I have seen he is a liability.
And sadly as an attacking full back he cant cross for toffee.
Worth working on though in the same way as Dickson. Whether he sees it that way is a different matter.
Why does Dicko get all these chances and Yassin the assassin gets none? ;0)
Curbs didnt put up with any nonsense until he started taking on the likes of Murphy who clearly felt he could challenge Curbs authority.
The squad will be reduced in the summer whatever League we are in and I think Mouts should get his head down, show some discipline and then he may earn the right to wear the shirt again.
I have reggae reggae Ketchup!
Pardew? Dowie? Curbs again?
He also seems to have issues with Todorov (an experienced International with Premiership goals) who has been available since Parky took over but he has failed to use him, let alone how many others behind the scenes (McLeod?). This seems not only a justification for bringing in a new face as manager but also another question mark over PP's ability to man-manage. Do we need to see a total clear-out in the summer to bring in Parky types or simly bid him goodbye?
McLeod and Moots are obviously trouble.
Wright hangs out with a bloke who just got released from prison and is back on trial for assaulting a cab driver.
I would suggest it's not PP who has the issue, but the others. It would appear that he is man managing.
Fans have demanded that the players are fit to wear the shirt. I think Parky is doing his best to ensure that happens.
So who poisoned him .....?
I'm inclined to agree with you.
Wild and random speculation presented as fact. No disciplinary issue with Dickson or Toddy. Wright had a little (somewhat understandable) strop but is long since back in the fold. McLeod's problems occurred with another manager at another club.

Why is it obvious? Yassin makes a favorable impression by nearly all reports of those that have spent time with him. I have always assumed that his lack of playing time has been due to Pards' and now PP's apparent allergy to attacking, dynamic fullbacks.
I am, in truth, extremely partial to Yassin for the simple reason that whenever I have watched him play his impact on the game is immediate and obvious. The offensive pressure he creates from the backline would seem, on its own, sufficient reason to be included in the starting XI, but this is obviously not an assessment shared by those who's views actually matter.
He was part of our 1-0 win against Norwich, our first win in 18 matches, but was then dropped.
Can't blame him for getting frustrated.
I do think Parkinson is worried about having Yassin and Youga in the team at the same time, not the best defensively and both (well at least when Youga's confident and on form) like to get forward. If McEveley never got injured, Yassin might have had a longer run.
