And thats the difference

Doncaster not only were full of confidence, but had a strong nucleus of players that were familiar with each others game.
Charlton, on the other hand, consisted of 11 individuals.
The writing was on the wall when we fortunatly beat them earlier in the season
(although there were a lot on here who settled for a fortunate victory)

This panic loaning has proved to be our ultimate downfall.

  • I honestly now believe it is time we threw our optimism out the window, this was the most crucial game of our season and although I will go to bed a depressed man I now believe we are down, and we must now concentrate on going down gracefully and put in some solid results and hopefully hold on to a few key players, ie Bailey, Racon and Shelvey. Lets face it, League 1 will not be all that bad, I am fully behind Parky to build a squad fit to build a push to the top ten, we can't expect too much next season and a safe top ten I believe will be a good start, we must not make the same mistake that we made last year in investing too much money into an unsuccessful promotion bid, look where we are now, so I think if the squad can stick together we should have a reasonable finish to a season I am looking forward to forget, but I will be there on saturday cheering our boys on and if we win it will be nice but I am just fed up of expecting much and coming home dissapointed, so come on boys lets go down with respect cause I am sure it will not be too long before we will be back!!!

I also would like to just express how much I respect Bailey, although he did concede the pen tonnight, the man never seems to tire and is in my opinion a true model pro and would love to see him in a Charlton shirt next season, he is one of a very smal bunch who have had a good year and done the shirt proud!!!
  • yep best footballing team at the valley this year
  • Doncaster were a very good side, much better than most of the teams we have seen this season. That said for a must win game our players never looked up for it. Jonjo, Bailey & Elliot aside who gave sterling efforts the rest were a total embarrassment.
