Something very exciting about signing a player you know nothing about although in recent years we've seen a lot more Mikel Alonso's than we have Dennis Rommedahl's

Alex Song, Busquets, Mascherano, Makelele, Khedira, Cambiasso, Gattusso, De Rossi

All players whose primary job is to break things up. Sure, some of them have additional qualities, but it's true, sometimes you need that player who sits there and smashes into the opposition, instead of "backing off, backing off, backing off, oh that's fine have a 30 yard shot Charlie Austin..... oops"

Think of the amount of times we have looked overrun in midfield this season, even against Forest, I never thought I'd see the day that Andy Reid is running is the one running rings around a midfield, but he did that day

Agree with this. Hopefully if we sign him he'll turn out to be a bargain

  • Must be half decent , sounds from some foreign news that we have nicked him/persuaded him to sign for us ( he was in advanced talks with palace )
  • Maybe we should give Mr Semedo a call if Wednesday go down.
  • What? To laugh?
  • Rather Bailey back.
  • Mike Bailey
  • Rumpole of the Bailey.

Did I miss something with Rommedahl then?

The Moldovan National Division is a hot bed of untapped talent.Plus we are trying to find the most unusually named footballer. We have made a good start with Sow but there must be better ones out there.

Sow will love rolling in the mud on our pitch.

    Bring back Paul Bacon...
  • Couple of youth teamers getting themselves contracts

    Jason Brown [Unattached - Ipswich]

Jonathan Fortune [Unattached - Dagenham & Redbridge]

Fortune was keeping himself fit playing non-league football for Chatham Town FC, as a striker!!

  • Contract until the end of the season will keep him on his toes. He's a winner.
  • Chrissy hedging his bets a bit in that article. : - )

Been training with us but not eligible for Bolton as no international clearance yet.

What is the knee jerk reaction? Just what we need OR waste of space. Don't come out with that "give him a chance" or "let's wait till we've seen him play a few times" nonsense : - )

  • St Ledger to Millwall ... too late for the (local) Derby . boom boom !!
  • Dean Parrott went out on loan - thought he played ok for us the other season

    Fortune joined D&R
  • St ledger's a shit so it suits.
  • My mate, who is at the Port Vale game, has just text me to tell me that there is a Charlton scout at their game, I would say they are most likely going to being looking at Tom Pope.
  • Sure they're not looking at Benson? I heard he has a few goals in him. ;-)
