Clem I respect your sources but why are we getting rid of Green? Is it because he is our most expendable asset of some proper value? Is it because he didn't impress enough last season and ended up ousted by Wagstaff and/or an auxillary winger like Haynes or N'Guessan?
Have to say I would be disappointed to see what I thought was a great signing last year head out and such a good crosser/set-piece specialist as well...

It was a joke guys!
splitting my sides as I write
Yeah me too charente....the more this Baldock thing drags on the more dopey comments we're likely to get. I just wish he'd f'ing well sign for someone and put everyone out of their agony....never in my entire life have I seen something drag on like this...with the exception of Darren Purse maybe but that was more of a laugh than this irritating Baldock saga.

The comment about the number 7 shirt was a joke.
No one wants Clarke, Hayes is on good money and proving harder to shift than expected. The wages budget is more or less maxed out so as ISLS has correctly pointed out, we move on to the next expendable asset.

Should have no problems getting rid of Green if the football world believes some of the hype on here :-)
Shittu has signed for the Spanners so SHG was right despite what my Millwall mate told me that he would not be welcome at the Den.
Interesting article in the SLP where it essentially says that Berylson is subsidising the deal from his own resources .We are not the only club who have these budget issues.

We keep our wage budget to below 70% of our turn over.
However, we weren't expecting to need centre back cover - so I guess Berylson decided to dip into his considerably deep pockets to cover it.
We did the same to bring in Andy Keogh in January - then the squad was trimmed in the summer.
He doesn't want to be a sugar daddy - even though he can afford it, but feels we should be run properly. But will help Jackett out when need be.
Wages was the reason that shef u were looking to get rid of Quinn at the start of the summer so it'll be interesting to see how this progresses finance wise

Happy he's got lots of money cause he's just wasted a lump of it.
Haha...we keep our wages to 70% of turnover, although if we need more our owner subsidises it....then you don't keep your wages to 70% do you. Man City could otherwise say exactly the same thing!
