[cite]Posted By: McLovin[/cite] Another disappointing right back loan for me
So despite everything he did in his time here, the effort he put in, his influence on and off the pitch and his general attitude, he's messes up for one goal and you class him as a disappointing signing. Ridiculous! Maybe we should've signed Daniel Alves instead
[cite]Posted By: McLovin[/cite]Good pro etc. but I'd not expect a 17 year old debutant to make the error that he did at Swansea. Another disappointing right back loan for me, agree with Laura.
Even after that mistake and his weaknesses, he's still better than Halford or Cranie.

He seems an honest player. He didn't try to hide the fact that he was attempting to regain fitness playing for us, so that he could return to Reading, hopefully to get back into their team. With that in mind, he didn't hide and avoid getting stuck in to protect himself. Often, he looked our most commited player.
As long as he didn't want silly money I'd be pleased for him to return.
One would hope that down another level we will not need seasoned vets in the dressing room to instill character. What we need to do is get rid of the dead wood, and build a young side that play good football, get us back to the Championship, and perhaps add one or two quality signings to challenge to get us back to the top flight. What we don't need are players past their prime, or "physical" footballers as implied by Parky as his priority signings.
Er I think we need loads of physical footballers. Hopefully ones like Steve Brown who had an excellent reading of the game as well. But Parky's dead right in that this squad needs stronger players physically and mentally, just maybe not Murty.
Matty Holland - reads the game, respected by the team, can still pick a pass and run. Play him at right back and let his right midfield partner (Sammy?) concentrate on attacking. He can share the duties with Chris Solly.
Oh yeah and thanks to Graeme Murty, who played through the pain for us.

You can't be too hard on him for that. Even the established top echelon of players cock up occasionally.
Players are only human.
He played for the shirt. And played a massive part in turning round the mentality of the place.
That'll do for me![/quote]
Agreed! Very well put.

Good thing you're perfect, eh.
