Dear Charlton,
Did you know that you are my Charlton, my only Charlton, you make me happy, when skies are grey.
Actually, you don't any more. Of late you have been making me, and everyone else who follows this club thoroughly miserable. It wasn't done intentionally, we all know that, but in a short space of time we have gone from a club that everyone respected and held in high esteem, to nowt more than a laughing stock that people point and laugh at.
Believe me, It has not been easy to live with, and it looks like we'll be getting it for a while longer at least.
So please, please can you fix it for us to have a break, a glimmer of hope, and a rare sensation of a victory. Beating Palace will not right the wrongs, or change anything in the grand scheme of things. But it might just make us smile for a change. And that would be nice.
Yours Sincerely
AFKA Bartram (aged 32 and three quarters)

Me too, old enough to remember the Ray Treacy screamer at Selhurst in 1968 ....... and didn't we celebrate, slipping and sliding down the muddy grass bank behind the goal? (before they had concrete terracing, lol)
And I haven't got enough fingers to count my age
