was listening to the derby v's forset commentary last night and could have sworn that i heard 'valley floyd road' sang in the crowd. im sure it wasnt but wonder what their own rendition is. anyone hear it and know what they were singing?
Far have we travelled And much have we seen Goodison, Anfield are places we've been Maine Road, Old Trafford still echo to the sounds Of the boys in the Red shirts from City Ground City Ground, Oh mist rolling in from the Trent My desire is always to be there On City Ground
ha. It was also sung in a night club in Whistler. A chap I was chatting to (from Lewisham!!!) wouldn't believe I was a Charlton fan until I started singing it full blast in the bogs. Canadians and yanks in there thought I was mad.
[cite]Posted By: Chirpy Red[/cite]Such a crap song, I wish we'd drop it and get something a bit more inspiring.
Fishing again egh Chirpy?
Not at all, indeed never fishing. I have always mantained it is a crap song, our version, their version, even Paul MacCartneys version.
It's just not football enough for me.
