Brum Accounts

edited January 2009 in General Charlton
I know I shouldn't generalise and I'm certainly no accountant, but Birmingham have recently announced a £4.3 million profit to year ending 31st August 2008. They have been relegated, have kept most of their 1st team (plus adding to it).

Both clubs have similar crowd attendance.

We announce an £11.5 million loss and have sold for vast sums any decent player we may have had. Can't quite get my head round it!

  • Because it was based off a lower cost base. They got promoted the year before, so their turnover was up 99%, plus it includes the sale of Kapo and Muamba.

Their figures will look a lot worse at next years accounts.

How long were Brum in the Premiership? I think that is the answer.

Also that will be the figures for their last season in the Prem not the current year.
  • Sadly the longer a club becomes enmessed in the Premiership the greater the downside if they are relegated.
  • Plus Brum had the benefit of that mega TV deal that we missed out on.
