Absoloute Disgrace

edited January 2009 in General Charlton
What the fcuk is happening to our beloved team?On a terrible run we nick a win against Norwich and the idiot drops players and we lose to an awful side.Didn't think it could get any worse but cant see where the next league win will come from.

If the twat had any decency he would walk!

  • Just got back from the game (am staying in Leeds tonight), this was my 1st away game of the season and frankly its also my last. Respect to people like frank butcher who have perservered.

After last week against Forest I thought we had it in us to get out of this mess, but today after the first 15 minutes we were abject. I ought to single out Andy Grey and Bialey as two of the most abject performers in a charlton shirt,Grey not so much heads the ball but allows it to land on his head and bounce in any direction, not particularly meant, whereas Bailey wholst running about like a terrier seems to be able to hit a red shirt with one in ten passes.

Some positive points, i thought Hudson had a better game than I had seen for a while, but he did at times seem to be looking arond him in disbelief that he was actually playing with this bunch of no hopers, I felt sorry for Elliot, but that said without randolph we would have been 7 or more down, the black spot for him was a foul outside the box that could have been a red instead of the yellow received, Sam looked good, his ability to be a threat was stifled by the failure of the rest of the team to get the ball to him. A word for Phil Parkinson, who I have shown positive support for, why or why when you are 2-0 down at half time your only forward could not score in a brothel, do you not make a change? The third goal prompted a change, its too late Phil, I don't rate Dickson but what chance has he got to change my opinion when you bring him on when we are 3-0 down and there is 19 minutes left. New loanee soares was fairly anonymous, lets hope the next week ......... actually I'm beyond hope, we just can't get out of this --- today convinced me there is no hope we are down and god knows what next season will bring.
  • good post Kap and tho i wasnt there i totally agree with you. There is no way back and next season will be just as hard!
  • Sam looked good you was at a different game to me

But you agree with the rest?
  • Sam had one put on a plate for him 6 yards out in the first half and didn't know what to do with it. I thought he like many had a terrible game
  • No one...and I repeat no one came away from that game with their reputation enhanced...if you think Sam looked good what fooking game were you at...not the one I was that's for sure!!

    I fooking repeat
  • In 20 years of regular away games yesterday was far the worst performance i have ever witnessed.
  • No just in shock what you said
  • Sam done okay, although he did screw up that crossing opportunity as Uncle says. Still at least he got on the ball and tried to make some stuff happen and there was one great run from inside our half where he beat 4 players before being brought down on the edge of their area. Too many players were hiding but Sam wasn't one of them, and a Sheff Weds fan said to me afterwards that he looks to have come on since they had him on loan and that he had the beating of their left back.

  • Sam got a thumbs up from me and those around me because he worked hard. He played to the best of his ability and put in an honest performance. Pretty p*****d off that quite a few have taken harsh pops at him. Save the aggro for those that really deserved it.

He had a poor game...it's just that he had a better game than the others...but that's not saying much, if anything at all...he got a six out of ten from me (a six rather than a five because on the odd occasion he at least looked like he was trying)....with all the rest four or fives and in a couple of instances a three.
He was merely the best of a very very very bad bunch.
If you think that that's having a pop at him then so be it.
