• My heart goes out to you frank, I know i live 6000 miles away but I feel gutted as well,
My dad like your's first took me to the valley in about 1965 and i have been a fan ever since then only stopping attending five years ago when I moved here.
I honestly cant remember ever feeling as bad as now about our great club. The problem is we are at the bottom of the championship but I fear not at the bottom of our decline. But heads up everyone we will come again and all the crap we will get from the tossers in new cross and croydon Im sure we again will one day be able to give them it back because we are a real football club. C.O.Y.A
• Good post Dazzler. True supporter no doubt.
• It was a good post. Particularly liked wonderful, horrible, brilliant , nauseating. He's summed up the entire experience of being a football fan in four words, I reckon!
• Thanks,

Yeah those four words definately describe my memory of football!
This game shows why our away support is bad cause the day a good number turn up the players dont
I don't want to cause an argument on here but if you class 650 fans traveling as 'Good Support' then I'd hate to see a bad turn out by your lads.

I do feel sorry for each and everyone of those who did travel up though and it could have been alot worse a scoreline if we'd have put our chances away.

Also, when your keeper brought Wade Small down he could have been red carded too but I'm glad he wasn't because at 3-0 with about 8 minutes to go it would have been pointless and like kicking a man when he's at rock bottom already.

I just hope you stuff the pigs next week in the cup!!!

650 up to some outpost in yorkshire during a recession a few weeks after Christmas when your team is playing like they are isnt bad going. In fact the players are lucky they even got that many poor sods to make the trip and part with their cash.
• Some great comments, glad I'm not alone.

I've sobered up and I could probably bet my right arm that I will be in Sheffield again at the weekend but we shall see. Im still bitterly disappointed, everything came to a head with that performance!

The bottom line is that there is only so much effort one person can put in without getting anything out of it in return, in terms of passion and effort. People say 'well thats football' but I don't think it is. Not for most of my experience anyway.

lol......... respect to those that went
• I expect the club were budgeting on losing a fair few "glory boys" or Johnny come lately's" but what they have extraordinarily achieved is to alienate the hard core heart of supporters with 20, 30, 40 years under their belts. And in a recession. Brilliant.
