No more signings

I can understand if we are skint we have to put up with Parky at least till the end of the season BUT lets not throw good money after bad.

Please no more signings this season, when loanees expire, send them back (Murty, Waghorn & Soares).

If we can get half decent wedge for the high paid (Weaver, Hudson, Ambrose, ZZ, Grey), then get rid.

Get rid of those that won't be around next season (Fortune, Holland, Todorov)

Let's start cutting our cloth accordingly in preparation for League 1, play those players who will be here next season and start preparing for that division. We have to keep Dickson (he is proven there), & Moutakil (he would rip those defences to pieces).

Comments

  • No more loans. Send Murty/Soares/Waghorn back and play our own for the rest of the season.

Loans have not worked for us and I see nothing to suggest they are going to start now.
  • Just play our own and those who might be here next season.
  • agree with this, after all performances can't get any worse
  • We have won five games in league and cup this season.

Two wins came with no loanees in the side.

One win came with only one loanee (Bouazza).

One win came with two loanees (Bouazza, Cranie)

One win came with three loanees (B, C and Primus).

Yet at times we have played FIVE loanees and before Xmas we had SEVEN of them on our books.

When I posted this earlier in the week, Oggy said 'it's just stats and you can make them say anything'.

But what is obvious is that all the loanees have contributed virtually nothing to our season.

What is the point of Murty and Soares? And are they really that much better than Moots and Wright?

We're down and there's no use pretending otherwise. So sod getting Murty fit and giving Soares some match practise. Time to play our own and start building for life in div one.

Spring not really any better than Wright either. We were just lucky that Luton are in a worse situation than us and were desperate to get him off the wage bill.
  • This is what is costing us. How can we expect to ever win games with a steady side when our team is a revolving door of players who even if they did gel as team will be of as soon as we put some wins together. It makes no sense.

I have never been more furious - we were assured that after last seasons debacle we wouldn't be as ridiculous in the loan market but they board and manager(s) have just carried on with the same pathetic attempts at throwing 11 players on the pitch and hoping they win. It's a complete disgrace.

All we had to do was learn from the Les Reed situation. Sack our manager. Get a new one in. Simple. But again we are going to get relegated due to the same mistakes. Sort it out send the loans home and sack Parkinson. It's not working and it never will.

The lesson we didn't learn from the Les Reed debacle was the need to get an outside manager lined up before you get rid of the old one. Look at Forest - Calderwood went and from day one they went after Billy Davies. Similarly Spurs were primed and ready to get Redknapp in as soon as the last guy was out the door. Pfaffing and around and doing things properly might be the moral thing to do but in a results/confidence business like football speed is of the essence.

I wonder what Chappell or Murray would do in their day jobs as succesfful businessmen if they had managers not doing their job? Perhaps they should look at what worked there and execute the same strategy, I can't see them retaining poor managers.
