[cite]Posted By: mart77[/cite]I'll always have a soft spot for Hogan's at Darlington.
Cheap Beer?
Mixture of that and the wonderful people who always seem to be in their. Always had a laugh in their and the colourful locals were always a talking point!
The pub virtually across the road from Carrow Road used to be a good one before they knocked it down and how about The Winston across from the away end at The Dell?

Agree with you their, spot on for the station with a McDonalds over the road for a munch.
Also like the Forresters in Southend, The Bridge in Norwich (gone now I think), theres a good pub on the main road into Swindon off the M4 called The Spotted Cow, The Landlord in the pub directly outside Bolton station was very accommodating way back in 2001 FA cup QF.
we had a cracker at Derby away when they first moved to Pride Park cant think of the name of the place but it was full of Charlton and i think it was run by a londoner was meant to be a season ticket only home pub turned in to an addicks den for that day
Fatrob wobbled but he didnt fall down sung for ages
Cap n' Gown - Aston Villa Larwood & Voce - Nottingham Forest (Backs onto Trent Bridge) Arkles - Liverpool (Gay Steve, 33,from Southend - those there will know what I mean)
NLA - your place at Derby is probably the Brunswick, which I also like
There is a place ouside the station at Crewe - the name escapes me. The Working Mans Club behind the away end at Stockport - 25p to get in and 98p Stella!!!! Also has a real life hammond organ and bloke the image of the major from Phonenix Nights.
even though i'm not a real ale drinker, the brunswick at derby is up there.
penny come quick at plymouth.
fat cat at norwich, though that is a cab ride to the ground.
when we were in the prem we always done a weekender for the man utd game. we always managed to get in , early doors, the trafford pub at the top of sir matt busby way. it is home only, serves (crap) beer in plastic glasses but the atmosphere in the place is absolutely fantastic with virtually the whole pub constantly singing for 2 and a half hours before kick-off. and that is for a match against us. can't imagine what it'd be like for a city/liverpool/leeds game.
going back to our championship winning season, went up to stockport when we won 4 1 i think Andy Hunt hatrick.. i was on my jack jones so was looking for somthing to do, there was a propper socail club right next to the away end like the phoenix club old boy on the door etc raffle tickets.. i asked if i could come in and in northern terms had a reet good 45 mins drinking john smiths, locals were well friendly and wished us well knew they were in for a hiding but no grudges and no anti london tripe, proper people and made a great day even better.
The Grapes - Liverpool/Everton
The Brunswick - Derby
The Gluepot - Swindon
The Griffin - Brentford
Smugglers - Sunderland
Cock Tavern - Arsenal
Nicholas Nickleby (The Huskie Pub) RIP - Manchester
Olde Trip To Jerusalem - Nottingham
Sumners - Preston
Honest Lawyer - Scunthorpe
The Arkles, Anfield - if only for the bulldog chewing face landlady asking the bagpipe player to stop playing mull of kintyre after curb_its request.
Hogans, Darlington - "Daft **** shouldn't dance on the table" (said when woman in karaoke fell off and knocked herself out and the bar staff and everyone else carried on as if nothing happened)
Compleat Angler, Norwich - St George's Day Diver dislocating shoulder jumping into the canal will go down in history
Chesterfield - no idea of the name, but it was so cold, and it was so cosy and they were playing beatles music.
