  • That is poor

Tickets were £15, £5 for kids and Leicester brought 1,213!

    Ha Ha!
  • ......please don't laugh too loud as the way things are going here it won't be long till we start seeing the same attendances down at the valley.
  • Where's Ooh Aah?

I'd like to hear his thoughts on that pathetic figure!

  • Millwall would be happy with that size crowd!?
  • Not great support to be fair, you only had 12,000 for the Naaarwich match with cheaper tickets and triple the amount of away fans though.

Love the comment about your support in 2000. Failing to recognise the fact you haven't come close to selling out since.

No point really debating attendances though. Our home support is shocking and considering you've had 7 consecutive seasons in the Prem, your away support is also shocking.
  • Look where u are in the league though, and on a nice run, thats shocking!!

Tickets were the same price, there were 9,000 home fans.

Since 2000 you have charged us £30.

    Our away support is poor.

We sold out at your place this season didn't we?
  • £30 to get into Selhurst, is the worst ticketing pricing i have seen anywhere, ever.

I could have sworn we "came close" to selling out this season and last....

Which is superb considering it was closed and we were playing at Sellout :-)
  • With regards to the comments about your last 2 followings at Selhurst. My season ticket is right by the "no mans land" divide in the Arthur Wait. The last 2 seasons you've been offered it, last year you didn't sell enough tickets to open it up and this season you filled about half of it.

The reason I know the stats about yourselves is because I'm a self confessed Charlton hater. No idea why so many Palace fans deny it but some do because it seems to wind some of your fans up!

I can't really defend last nights attendance as 6,000 is poor. I didn't go personally because the last 2 games against Leicester I went to both and both of them were atrocious games.

£30 is a ripoff I agree, the Jimmy Seed stand is terrible though as well and we usually sellout. The whole attendance arguments been done to death though, most agree your home support (for now) is excellent, ours isn't but we usually have better away support!
  • Taken from a thread last season Charlton support on the left Palace on the right!

    Leicester away - on Sky
    Wolves - Hardly any difference
    Sheff Utd - on Sky
    Cardiff - Tuesday night
    Scunthorpe - In relegation zone
    Blackpool - Barely any difference
    Burnley - Both crap
    Norwich - Both good
Ipswich - on Sky in August

Considering you'd just come down from the Premiership, spent the majority of the season in the playoffs do you honestly think your away support is any good? Think you had 300 at Blackpool this season, the novelty of visiting new grounds for the first time in nearly a decade clearly showed last season and I'm sure it'll be the same next season in the League 1.
  • "Been done too death" yet here you are justifying your own "strong" away support. Why can you not accept that, baring a 20 or so year period which would have been your early years of supporting Palace, Charlton are historically a better supported team than CPFC and, whilst youre making crap excuses for you own away support, that our lost generation of support could well impact on ours? Instead youre just coming across as someone with a bit of a chip on your shoulder... Then again youve kind of admitted as much. Ps It doesnt wind up. We saw through it along time ago..... The denial just makes you look rather sad and unjustifiabley arrogant.

We know how pathetic palace's home support is but embarrassingly they have better away support than us and i can't work that out....
