£46??? well i said all along i wasnt going to that but that has confirmed it!! not with an FA cup trip to forest/salisbury 4 days later and perhaps a carling cup tie 3/4 days (here's hoping) after that? not to mention then a home game on the 13th... and an away trip to pompey on the 20th.
Boosted by Charlton's dramatic win against Blackburn Rovers last night, around 1,000 Addicks fans have so far booked their places for the club's next Premiership game against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday. And Les Reed will be hoping for the perfect birthday present on his 54th anniversary - the end of Charlton's away-day drought that now dates back 22 games without victory. Tickets are still available for the match at White Hart Lane, which kicks off at 3pm, with the Addicks having received an allocation of 1,717 places. And following extraordinary backing from the home fans at The Valley last night, the club is hoping for more of the same in North London. Tickets are priced £36 adults and £18 over 60s and U16s in the upper tier and £32 adults and £16 over 60s and U16s in the lower, and are now on sale to season-ticket holders, Platinum Red Card scheme members and members of the free Red Card scheme who have a previous purchase history.
Maybe I'll do what I did at Sunderland one year - arrive 3 hours early - creep in with the catering staff pretending to flash a pass along with the others, and then hide out in the toilets for an hour or so until I heard paying fans coming in.
This is no joke - I did do this although it was a kind of 'accident'.
