More straw-clutching: Slumdog Millionnaire film

I believe that much of Richard Murray's wealth comes from having some involvement in one of the companies that was behind the 'Who wants to be a Millionnaire?' concept and TV rights.

Do you think he might get further potloads from this film??

:-)

  • Wasn't he involved in Who Wants To Be A Millionaire as well?
  • Err, isn't that what I said, DA9?
  • doubt it Wedgie, we look after Dev Patel the star of the film and he did not get bucketloads.. Murrays company will recieve some sort of fee just for use of image rights and copyright, could be a bit but deffo wont be in the millions section. sorry.
  • I think he's now with Avesco, whose shares have lost 75% in the past year. Don't think there's a link with ?Celador and Millionaire now.
  • RM is the "non executive director of Avesco plc and the executive chairman of NRG Plantations Ltd, a renewable energy business based in Asia."

  • come 'n' Avesco if you think you're hard enough
  • I think he used to be involved with Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.
  • Not any more though.
  • i cant help thinking that Michael Grade could be a bit more active, apart from presenting the history dvd which is awsome if u dont have a copy shame on you.. i just think hes up there with the bill kenwrights and could if he wanted to pull a few deals together, just see him as a celeb director and nothing more which is a shame, with his contacts and little balck book im sure he could get some money into the club.
