Slightly negative.. is it just me

Or did anyone think that we played really narrow football last night and had no width EITHER wing. Hughes didn't want to go out wide and nor did Kish even though he made more effort than Hughes.

I don't think either had a bad game just I thought the last 15 minutes were crying out for Romm yet we waited 3 minutes till the end to bring Mat Holland.

Thought the perfect Subs would have been M Bent and Romm for Sam and Hughes.

OH WELL UP THE ADDICKS!

  • That's why we were so solid. This was a game we couldn't lose and therefore kept it tight with Kish, Faye and Hughes (battling MFs) leaving Reid, Sam and Bent to do the create stuff.
  • No, we did play narrow but that allowed Young and HH to get forward. And it worked.
  • Oh well everyone around me thought it was a pants system that wasn't really working well as there was ALWAYS two on one with our full backs.

Also 9/10 this game would have ended 0-0 so it didn't really work that well I didn't think.

Come on we made several good chances HH headed over, should have had a penalty...you make your luck and we deserved last night's win.
  • Tom - We had enough chances to have scored earlier and they offered next to nothing. IMO it worked well.
  • We created more chances last night than in any other game I can remember this season. Friedal (?spelling)deserves a lot of credit for his goalkeeping. He gave Darren no margin at all on at least 3 occasions. Sam shot over, Hermann headed over and there were others I've not mentioned.

Most importantly though they looked like a TEAM. A lot of that is because those that came in had commitment and desire which rubbed off on the others.

Keep it as it is, injuries permitting, I say.
