I've said it before and I'll say it again. Bigger and better clubs than us have gone through what we are experiencing at the moment. Leeds, Man City, and two times European Cup winners Nottingham Forrest to name just three. Plenty of clubs who are more our size too. We've had some relative success over the last 10 years or so, we will probably come again. We made the same mistake as all the smaller clubs do, we didn't believe in ourselves when we had the chance, we were happy to be a small club in London punching above our weight. Our then manager described us little ol' Charlton. We lacked ambition - financially, fans aspirations, let good players go etc etc. We missed a golden opportunity to really push for 4th place in the PL in a season when no one was really guaranteed it. That chance will NEVER happen again.
I'm not looking to really blame people, we were all guilty to a certain extent.
Those days are gone, forget them for now, watch us sink to the 3rd division again and make a concerted effort as fans to support the team next season to help us bounce straight back.
I thought this season we'd lose a lot of the tossers who moan and moan all the time. They will be gone next year for sure, including the complete prat who sits behind me. Moans for 94 mins in the most annoying whiny pathetic voice, Sits there in his stupid "Manager" Joma coat and CAFC hat with his two poor little kids and just slates every player from KO to the final whistle, no sorry, till 5 mins from the end when he goes.
Life is full of cycles, economic, political, weather, health, emotional, career. Sport is no different. Just accept it is our turn and take comfort in the fact that we will rise again, not maybe in our lifetime, but sometime.

Indeed, that's what I was trying to say!
