Some very quick and cursory research shows that the following games have all been described by either management or some fans as an 'improvement' in performance and/or commitment.
Nov 8 Plymouth (A) under Pardew
Nov 15 Birmingham (A) under Pardew
Nov 25 QPR (A) Parky
Nov 29 Soton (H)
Dec 15 Derby (H)
Dec 26 QPR (H)
Jan 10 Forest (H)
So we've spent two months 'improving' (with a few backward steps, too). I just wonder how much more we need to 'improve' before we're actually good enough to win a game?

Setting aside the current record-breaking run, we have actually won just FOUR games all season - against a newly-promoted Swansea on the opening day, a freakish result against newly-relegated Reading, Ipswich and at Doncaster (who are currently the 'next worse' team in the division).
We've conceded 47 goals (27 of them at home).
Yes, we've been unlucky in dropping points late in some games, but every other team can probably point to similar situations.
We might well sneak a win soon, but our record since August doesn't give much evidence that it will be the start of a big turnaround.
But it's alright, cos we've been told that Parky is the best man for the job.
Today having taken a two goal lead, Forest just packed midfield and defended the line. We couldn't carve out much despite the number of corners in the second half.
Bing - always been a great admirer of your posts. But that one is pure Pardew, mate!
