now for the back to back win...

and that team last night could do it...it wasn't perfect, but it battled, kept going, created a lot, raised its head to look around and see who was in space and wanted the ball and, more importantly, had 4 or 5 players that will have walked off the pitch knowing they nearly scored last night with their efforts on goal...confidence must be up after that performance and result and andy reid has just got to want to score at whl...

  • The realist in me says we have no chance of anything against Spurs and Liverpool. I think all we can hope for is a point at Boro and then try to beat fulham and villa at home. That'd be 19 points at the turn of the year and hopefully in the carling semis by then as well. That wouldn't be too bad considering how i felt on the train home from Sheff Utd.

The big problem against Liverpool is going to be the lack of Carson in goal. Given the number of "how the hell did he get that?" saves he's made this season, whoever comes in to replace him is going to have to be on top form to make sure we don't ship a hatful of goals.
  • this is where i think les reed will need to wise up and drop his philosophy. Go to Spurs for a point. Two solid banks of defence and midfield, frustrate them, kick them, slow the play down, just don't try playing Spurs on the deck at their own game.

Get a point, or anything we can on the counter, then really go at Liverpool at home.

noooo...bent and sam pushed blackburn on the back foot all night and had them playing five across the back at times...do the same to spurs...teams that try to defend a point get beaten eventually, ask blackburn...
  • If we go to Spurs and attack we'll get ripped apart
  • AFKA said....... Kick them.

I like your style. I was watching Everton v Westham on Sunday and there were at least three booking where the player just hacked the opponent down because he was going past him and in a dangerous position. Bowyer and Osman were two of them. We don't do that enough.

So Les, listen to AKFA, in your team talk include "KICK THEM"
