Todorov

Whats the deal with Toddy?
I know he's not the quickest player and doesnt cover a lot of ground but he must be earning a relatively large amount and he does have some skill. I think he'll do well in a similar role that shelvey played against Norwich. Infact if we played something like this;

Elliott
Moutaouakil Hudson Fortune Basey
Bailey Spring Holland
Shelvey Todorov
Gray

Comments

  • I wouldnt drop Shelvey for Spring put Spring on the bench and start shelvey
  • I was saying start both of them in a 4-3-2-1, since we dont have a natural left midfielder/winger and an abundance of central midfielders
  • sorry missed him in your starting line up
  • however Bailey is suspended. Silly me.
    Also im basing this working on the fact that Moo2 and basey can overlap when we attackwhich i guess will leave us a bit exsposed at the back, thus reducing Bailey (or whoever fills this gap) and Holland to and anchoring role.
  • Since Todorov is our best creative footballer and finisher by a mile, I can only assume that he has not been playing because he is physically incapable of lasting more than a few minutes. The charm merchant who butchered him last season has a lot to answer for. On this matter (and just about only this matter), I don't blame Pardew. In his place, I reckon I'd have taken the risk that Toddy could regain full fitness and offer him a contract for the season.
  • without a doubt i would have offered hima contract too. Hopefully he does get fully fit. But is he even playing for the reserves at the moment?
  • Played a full 90 minutes for the reserves v QPR this week.
  • Toddy is our best player by a mile. Dont care that his legs have gone, so had Sheringhams when he was 20 and yet he had a bloody good career! For me Toddy should be coming off the bench in just about every game.
