I remember this game really really well for some reason! PVH always scored against us.

Look at Parker making an appearance as well!
  • I remember the 3 games agains Forest that season.

    Forest 5-2 Charlton
    Charlton 4-1 Forest
    Charlton 4-2 Forest

18 goals in 3 games!!! The league game at the Valley was epic, that goal by Mortimer, Kinsella taking the mick scoring the fourth in the last minute and the last time we conceded until the play off final and it was only 28th March!!!
  • Those two home games we were awesome. Got myself in a bit of trouble though at that League game....

So did my dad's mate at the away game. He got stuck in some railings when we were trying to get to the car.
  • Were they invisible WSS?

    ????

There were something like 16,500 in the ground for the Derby Co. game and that was midweek, just before Xmas, freezing cold, school night, on TV and only a few Derby fans.

Just having a gloomy moment and thinking of last week.

That was a Cup game of course like the game above thinking about it so ignore my ramblings on this occasion.
  • I think I remember that being Leaburn's last goal for the club, might have been last game, emotional.
  • What's the chances of Leeeeeeeburn, Super Clive, Brownie and Robbo scoring again tonorrow?
We could do with some extra firepower.

    ;o)

    I normally do : - )

Saw you coming out of the Lib club last week as I was walking up Wellington Gardens but you had sprinted off down the Hill before I got there.
  • Didn't it p*ss down all game. I seem to remember being sorry for the disabled in front of the west stand who got absolutely soaked and buffeted by the strong winds ?
  • Wasn't there a war over the price that Forest charged us for the league game up there, and we charge them the same for the cup game making members only for home tickets.
  • A few of us (oohaahh anf Falconwood were amoungst us)got together and sponsored the match at the away game (5-2 loss) can remember giving Beasant loads of sh*t after the game and then having a row with a few of our players.
  • Went to both the league games that year.

The 4-2 was in glorious sunshine during the Easter holidays if I remember correctly.

My mate's cousin Paul Emblem scored his only CAFC first-team goal?

There was indeed. They charged us £20 at the City Ground so the board allowed Charlton fans to sign up for free for 1 match membership so they could get away with charging us a tenner. Remember chanting "What a waste of 20 quid" at them when we went 4-1 up!
