Went up there for the cup game a few years back and it's a good day out but until i see signs of on-field improvement then i can't be doing with wasting more time and money going all that way

Strange really, i'm starting to get the urge to clock up the miles again, and i've know idea what has prompted it !
same here afka.
i've never totally stopped going away but during the latter prem years i was down to about 7 or 8 a season.
now i think it's a case of "if i don't support them now when they need us, then what sort of fan am i?"
in fact that very quote has shut up more than a few millwall fans who decide to have a piss take at my (our) predicament.

exactly the same with me, booked train tickets to 4 away games in the past few weeks. in the premiership probably barely went to 4 away games the whole season (apart from london ones)

I know I don't live in the country but I feel exactly the same way if that is possible. It's because you are seeing something you love so much go down the toilet and there is nothing you can do about it. They bloody need us though, despite how much they are hurting us, so you do whatever stupid thing you can, and that includes driving to Sheffield on a Saturday morning.
I have my eye on Swansea. Looking for a weekend away and currently gauging support amongst mates to see if I can fly back for it.

Good that's one I've booked, hope we get a few more than at Sheffield...
Chicago I know what you mean about feeling like you want to do more from afar...
I was fortunate enough to get to all four of the recent games while back in the country over Christmas. I've had flights booked home for Palace for a while now and just donated another 100 notes to Ryan Air today for the Southampton game the week before Easter. I'd dread to think how much i'd be shelling out if I could get there every week - well I suppose last season is some indication!

me, and 7 others staying over.
