INJURED LOANEEEEES

edited January 2009 in General Charlton
As it seems to be sinking fast, a tad like PP I'll start again.

It appears all the loanees come after spending shed loads of time injured. Murty, Gillespie, Cook, even Bouazza.

  • Cook and Murty were/are here to get fit, Gillespie to get match fitness and games after not playing for Sheff Utd, Bouazza here to get games for a season really.
  • I said a few months back when we signed the previous batch of loanees that we are a training camp for other clubs to send their players to get fit. E Won't see the best of Murty/Gillespie for at least 5/6 games when they are match fit. But they won't be here for that amount of time
  • Wouldn't say "all"

Primus yes but Cranie, Waghorn, Burton and McEverly were all fit.

I guess fully fit players who are good enough to get in their own first teams would be doing just that and so not be available for loan.
  • Think it's a beggars/choosers thing. Anyone of the quality that we need isn't going to be released or want to come to a team in our situation unless there's a catch.
  • But he was the first to admit he struggled to keep up with the pace of the game and that he was desperately short of match fitness.

He'll be leading the way in our training then!

As well as being too young to get in their clubs first team or being total cack for their club and being sent out because the manager is sick of them.

Therefore the chances of pulling a Gem out of them scenarios is pretty remote.
