  • yeah we've heard it all before - it's bollox

Protect him by playing him for 60 minutes
  • ha ha fair chance of getting into the first team..
  • Protect him from what exactly ?
    Learning his trade ?
    From Brutal Opposition Defenders ?

Stick him in & take him off when he tires, won't learn a great deal in the reserves i'm afraid.
  • too good for ressies needs to be playing 1st team football after all name me one midfielder that we have got that plays for 90mins
  • "They knew that at Charlton we treat everyone fairly and everybody gets a chance to possibly break into the first team"
    Ha ha!

    Dicko?
  • bit harsh mate :-))
  • Protect him from the prem scouts who will tap him up and will move for a ridiculous tribunal amount a la Bostock......
  • don't be naive mate - you think PL clubs don't know about him already they are not stupid - playing him in games would not make one iota of difference. If a PL club want him they will come and get him regardless how many games he has played for us.

Yeah but if he is playing and scoring goals at this level his stock will surely rise...I don't care as long as he signs a contract in 50 something days

  • Probably the most talented player we have. We are bottom of the championship. Use him.
  • ok protect him by not talking about him, its almost like we want the world to know about him.....
  • Play him now, he will be off in the summer regardless. I for one want to enjoy his talent while we can.
  • Because he is so young, his joints, muscles, ligaments and bones are still growing and this makes him susceptible to over-use injuries. Injuries that occur in young sportsmen can be so severe that they are wrecked for life. Parky deserves some credit!!

Just look at Wayne Rooney - after his wonder goal vs the Woolwich Rejects after coming on as a sub (barely 16 at that time) he was a regular in the Everton side that first season.....

Protecting him from the boo boys probably is closer to the truth........
