Norwich wearing 1 to 11?

Anyone know why Norwich wore 1 to 11 with no names on the shirts? According to the programme its not their centenary (they were formed in 1902) and the shirts did have their badge on ruling out the possibility they'd left their kit at home and had visited a local JJB to find some yellow kit. There's no mention of it on City's website so I can't believe its something they've just brought out for the cup.

So, any ideas?

    It was to do with some cup anniversary dating back to 1959.

    So to commemorate, they wore 1959 shirts numbered 1-11, as it was back then - long before players names on shirts and sponsorship.

    Cheers, Tommy. It was supposed to be their lucky omen - 1959 was their wonder giant-killing FA Cup run, so obviously they're hoping to repeat it this season, 50 years on.

    Norwich have as much chance of going on a cup run as Britney Spears fans have chance of hearing her sing live! (we still couldn't beat them though!)
