  • We are on a roll ....!
  • Come on and we seem open to play younger players with hunger!
  • We're in the hat!
  • i think we've turned the corner
  • we're still just FIVE POINTS AWAY from 21st place.

say that in a Pete "Norvern Munkey" Nutall voice and it sounds much better.
  • Jon Jo will b fresh for the 1st round of next season Johnstons Paints Trophy.

Rose-tinted reasons to be cheerful , one to ten : -

    1. Undefeated home run extended to three games!

    2. Only one home defeat now in five!

    3. The 'new manager bounce' is working cos we'd have lost under Pardew!!!

    4. And we'd have lost under Dowie!

    5. And we'd have definitely lost under Curbs, because we always went out of the cup at the first hurdle under him, even in our best years!

    6. Parky gave Dicko a very fair 11 mins to try to show why he shouldn't be on the transfer list!

    7. Carrow Road on a raw, bone-chilling, East Anglian Tuesday night in Jan with an arctic wind whipping in from the North Sea will sort out the men from the boys, on the pitch and in the stands!

    8. The magnificent turn-out of 9,000 home fans proves that predictons of gates of 6,000 in div one next season are ridiculously pessimistic!

    9. Unlike so-called ''bigger'' clubs such as Man City, Stoke and Bolton, we are undefeated in 2009!!! (thanks to Perth for that one...)

    10. Er, I've run out. Over to the rest of you...

ps : I've thought of number ten.

    10. The world famous centre-back Matt Holland was our MOTM, and in AFKA's thread elsewhere on predictions of where we will be on Dec 31, 2009, I have Old Father Holland down as our man-of-the-season in Div One !
  • Our starting 11 included 5 products of our youth system, and we had another 3 on the bench.

Is that why some people have been saying todays performance was poor ....?

  • "Charlton made it very difficult for us in the first half and that was one magnificent strike for us. Young Jonjo was at West Ham United when I was manager there and they were disappointed to see him go. The lad is going to play in the Premier League in my opinion. His goal was in the back of the net before our goalkeeper had even moved."

Jonjo left West Ham for us?

  • Where he lives, West Ham is his nearest club and he trained there until he was about 11.

    He's a Hammer, of course.
