i remember he was on 'airport' a few months ago, sayin that he flew bac home from sum where and went 2 the valley 4 a special occasion, maybe his birthday or sumthin, cant remember. R.I.P sailor...

Sailor Brown may not have been a household name to the fans of most football teams across England but he certainly was to Addicks fans.
Many of his best footballing years were indeed lost to the war but at least he managed to do what so many of us have only been able to dream about.
It is sad Sailor passed on with the club now back in the doldrums but in the greater scheme of things that hardly matters.
God bless Robert 'Sailor' Brown.
