I've been back a while but couldn't bring myself to post until now.
This was yet another game between two pretty poor sides that we have lost (or failed to win).
We had our moments in the first half and Marshall made at least one decent save.
In the second, we seemed to be penned in for long periods and relying on hopeful long balls. Bouazza had a couple of difficult opportunities from range. We didn't really create any clear cut chances - a few half chances thats all and as usual, the quality of crossing, especially from Sam was woeful.
Lita created his chance by coming off his marker to collect the ball, turn and score. It was the main difference between the teams - one piece of preditory striking skills, something that our strike force can only dream about.
Our impact subsitutions made no impact.
All in all pretty turgid and misery making.

You know my biggest worry....... I don't think it would make much difference if we had Mourinho, Sir Alex or Wenger in charge. I just don't think we have the personel available at present to get results. If we don't get hold of the midfield we'll continue to lose games.
I will make the journey on Boxing day but it will be like visiting a very sick friend in hospital. Not pleasant, but a duty.
Hence I ask the question - "whither Jonjo?" Surely his time must be upon us?
For lo there came a star from the east and it led them to a large red cowshed and there wrapped in cotton wool and laying on the treatment table, they saw the saviour, the head of a baby, the body of a twenty three three year old and they immediately fell to their knees praying and giving thanks to the almighty for delivering him in time to save their season.
We are deep in the mire and it will need one heck of a turnaround to get us out of this.
Steve, you could see what Lita had in mind and he executed perfectly. Oh for one of ours to do that.
well Parky has brought in both Burton and Gillespie and after a game apiece all they can do is make the bench. They were meant to be making a difference but have they heck. I don't want Parky in charge of trying to rescue a situation of his making. The squad lacks motivation, players have been alienated and they are not playing for Parky. The only solution is a new man, and quick.
I watched Lloyd Sam yesterday and it seemed to me that he was unsure whether he was to play wide right or tuck in and so he did neither very well. The same with Bouazza.
Bailey and Semedo is not the right midfield pairing either. I just cannot understand why there is no place for Shelvey when we are crying out for some creativity. I just cannot understand why we have signed yet another winger when we need somebody creative in the centre of mifield. If we can't get anybody then why don't we play Shelvey and Wright together with say Sam and Bouazza then play either Bailey or Semedo as a holding player in a midfield five.
What is also sad is the fact that other clubs in the leagues dank basement have learnt how to start.....(whisper it).....winning again, Watford have started to correct their bad form, Forest have won a couple and picked up some draws too, a few wins against some of the more beatable teams in this league would have seen a comfortable mid-table berth but for some reason we can't even manage that, we are in a very bad way.
I heard that, now he's not a brilliant player, but £300k for whoever gets him in a bargain. Ipswich paid twice that for Lisbie. We spent over 10 times that on Varney and McLeod.
That is so utterly depressing.
to be frank that is a fecking disgrace.....
Pardew could only buy what he saw on You Tube.
Good point, probably is. No future at Reading so they'll get what they can for him.
If Ambrose goes in January I doubt we'll get much more that for him either.
