lol - I think you've probably worked out where my tongue was pressed when I made the comment.

One we probably missed when he left West Ham though.

I don't know if your tongue is still in your cheek but when he left West ham after never appearing for their first team, he went to Peterborough who were then in league 2 and we were a premiership side. Hardly a player we'd have been interested in at the time.
  • On that very subject he was (rather like a current transfer listed striker) a player who, in the opinion of the management at that time, didn't "tick all the boxes" in that there are certain deficiencies in his game. However, his strengths and what he brings to the team overall outweigh those negative aspects and it is, for that reason, he has become a realtive success.

So FFS Parky please play Dickson before it's too late!!!!

Signed for £30,000 from Gravesend by West Ham but never started a game for them. As I say rather like our transfer listed striker who may well be going to Peterborough too.
  • As soon as I saw the title of this post, I thought, "ah yes, I thought Parky's a ringer for Jimmy Bullard too as well as sounding like him" and thought here was a rumour that he's been told the game's up!
  • Sponsored links:

  • He was on £5K aweek at Wigan, in his contract he had a clause saying if anyone offered £2m he could talk to them. Signed for Foolham for £35K a week.
  • We were actually very serious on him when he was at Wigan, and looked like he was coming here, but Fulham's offer blew us out the water.
  • Can't we get him on loan, like we did Booazza...?

    ;o)
  • Loan players don't make us play better, take last season. If we do sign Bullard (with what money?) i wouldnt complain he is a quality player but like Guiness said we can't really pay him £35k a week and like i said the worlds in recession and so is Charlton probably gonna sell, sell, sell, sell in January and buy some more recession qualtiy players like Bailey, Fleetword and Hudson.

well thats my little festive rant over...
  • I wasn't actually being serious, Nutte.

    Hence the smiley.

    ;o)
  • not likee 1nil to narwich eh nutte

Hodgson says he larks around too much in training and won't take anything seriously. Also, in the past he hasn't been carrying out his defensive duties.
  • Bullard would fit in well at Charlton, then.

    ;o)
