Just got an email from TFL. no overland trains at all on the 26th of December and no Jubilee Line at all on the 26th as well should make it fun for the Hoops to get here.
London Overground is completely different to South Eastern that serve the Sout East. You're better off checking the South Eastern website. For example you can drink alcohol on a South Eastern train as it's not been made illegal on there where as any TFL service it has.
There's an hourly service from central London - Slade Green via Lewisham and Woolwich, calling at Charlton. (There's also another service via Lewisham and Bexleyheath.)
The last time we played at home on Boxing Day Southeastern threw an extra train on.
More importantly, there's no Jubilee Line on Boxing Day because of work on the line, and nothing to replace it (except from a bus from North Greenwich-Stratford).
Buses will run to a Sunday service, and most of the other tubes are running.
(London Overground's a TfL-run train service which is mostly north of the Thames and nothing to do with us.)
I was going to drive down regardless anyway, other half driving back, and I'm getting on the lash, have to be there early as my daughter will be working at the Lib club.
Will have 1 spare seat from Greenhithe/Dartford area early doors for anyone interested, probably wont be able to take you back though unless you stay on the lash with me all day!!!
There is no Jubilee service because of signalling testing, what adds to that is there is a big event at the O2 that afternoon as well, so driving is going to be a mare.
[cite]Posted By: StanmoreAddick[/cite]easily walkable from Shepherds bush tube ( which must be open) and from a short hop on a bus from hammersmith ( or 20 min brisk walk)
Fairly sure that there would be a bus running up to Shepherds bush from Olympia if you are using the Clapham Juction route as well...
That will please my mum and missus, over there for christmas but is mums birthday on boxing day, told her i am going to football that day, in which she accepted but was worried i would be out on it all day, so i guess with my dad driving only will be able to have a few then back for the family party
If anybody wants a lift along our route from the Kent/Sussex border country (East Grinstead/Edenbridge/Westerham/even Biggin Hill), there's one spare place in the car. Three if there's a demand, as I could bring the very large and very non-PC 4x4 (got a window smashed in by some suburban eco-warrior last time I parked it in SE7/SE10...)

I know its a local derby, but feck walking from Shepherds Bush to The Valley
got bad giggles.
That 'll teach me to pay more attention to work than here!
