Looking back over the past 10 years, the average points needed to stay in this division is 49.7 (low 47, high 53)
So realistically we need a minimum of 32 points from the remainder of the season. This means we need to perform to the level of a fringe play-off team over the next 23 games. Jesus.
Maybe I should get out more.

We can still win the league!!!
So we need to be on track for around 32 points from the second half of the season? Let's make sure we have a decent second half then.
Teams from Swansea (11th) up in the league have got 32 points from the first half of the season. Is it really too big an ask?
We have to better Southamptons points for the final 23 games by 4 or more
And Beat Doncasters or Forests by 1 point.
I reckon we can do and Parkinson's the right man.
Big Red & Evil is right. We only have to get one more point than the 22nd club.
Do-able? Of course.
We dropped like a stone a dozen games ago.
In the 2nd part of the season, other clubs in mid-table will probably do so also.
