Half way point

edited December 2008 in General Charlton
With 23 games gone we've accrued just 18 points. Leicester went down last season with 52 so in the second half of the season we need 35 points plus. Can we win 10 out of 23 games? Will be interesting to see who PP gets in next month to bolster the team. At last we seem to be going in the right direction. Norwich is a 6 pointer....

  • its gona take a miracle, and for the first time in 10 years not have our annual end of season slump where we rarely win one game in the last 10. I just cant see 10 wins.

Win that and only 29 to go :-)
  • Yeah but this time last year the three bottom teams had 21 points (and we were 5th :( )

Don't think survival points are gonna be as high this season. So many poor teams who can beat each other and will mostly get beaten by the better teams.

Or am i just looking for a positive?

Hopefully we can have 3 teams around us having a year like:

But overall 50ish points is required to stay up.

Our fixtures at home will be crucial. Our last 4 games could be quite crucial, especially the Norwich one:

    Monday, 13 April 2009
    Coventry v Charlton, 15:00

    Saturday, 18 April 2009
    Charlton v Blackpool, 15:00

    Saturday, 25 April 2009
    Derby v Charlton, 15:00

    Sunday, 03 May 2009
    Charlton v Norwich, 15:00

I also reckon someone in the last few weeks will fall dramatically, i.e. be on a run like we are right now.
