proud to be CAFC

edited December 2008 in General Charlton
last nights performance was anything but pretty. pretty football wasnt on the agenda. what we got was a hard working, fully committed performance that the fans and management staff demanded. To be denied all 3 points and the victory at the death was football at its cruelest. i was feeling very down about it last night but we must look to the positve points:

players were wearing the shirt with pride
Gray and waghorn looked like they had an understanding between them. Gray's turn and finish was Mendonca like. Looked like a threat all evening even though he had his shirt pulled all night long.

Semedo and Bailey provided vital support to the defence and worked their socks off.

Hudson was immense in the air and the back 4 as a whole looked far more organised. Elliot was brillaint. came for crosses, commanded the area and his kicking was superb.

for the first time in months i feel proud to be a charlton fan. we didnt get the three points we deserved, but there was plenty there to suggest we have what it takes to climb out of the R zone and move up the table. its going to be a long hard climb, but with us the fans behind our team we can do it. bring on Norwich!

  • I agree. Just beware of false prophets. We've turned so many corners in the last few seasons that I'm not going to get my hopes up until we actually put a run together.
