•
[cite]Posted By: Rothko[/cite]Andrew Mills does not pick the players, I've heard Richard Murray and Les Reed say that, so why have people brought this myth.

Under Curbs, he told Murray who he wanted, and Murray did the deal.

Under Dowie/Reed, they tell Mills and Murray who they want, and they do the deal.

It's not that suspect
I've no need to repeat myself. I've heard this too and unlike you I don't believe it. Just look at the facts. Do you believe everyting you're told?
• Sorry, I know we're looking for a scapegoat for this season, but Andrew Mills isn't that person.

He doesn't scout players, he probably doesn't know what they look like, and he doesn't pick the team, but what he is given is a fund by Murray to go and do the bidding of the head coach to get the players the coach identifies and wants for his team, and Murray does the same.

I think it's naive to think Mills is sitting there picking players, but if you want your scapegoat...
• I don't want a scapegoat. Did I ever mention Mills, let alone suggest he's picking the team? You're not reading my posts carefully enough. I'm going to bed.

P.S. : 'He doesn't scout players, he probably doesn't know what they look like, and he doesn't pick the team, but what he is given is a fund by Murray '

How do you know what happens?
• What you on about then? you think that transfers policy is suspect, when I mentioned the Mills situation, you tell me not to take it as read and not to believe what I'm told, so again I repeated my views on Mills and I don't think it's fair to put any blame on him. Think you're confusing yourself

How do I know? cause I tend to trust what Richard Murray and Les Reed say to supporters at meetings, and not what I hear second hand from a bloke in a pub.
• Didn't you know Jim, Rothko knows EVERYTHING!
:o)
• Do I? Thanks for letting me know
• There's a full-page feature on Charlton in the new When Saturday Comes pointing the finger at the new structure as well.
• Maybe Rothko you should go to the 'Peter Taylor was offered the Charlton job' thread where people are beginning to ask the same question today that i was asking yesterday!
