Wow guys and gals....if ever there was a classic example of collective anxt and depression one need only look at the recent atmosphere on here.
We are ALL guilty in varying degrees...and none more so than myself.
I'm a million miles away from being able to analise this kind of phenominium( I've had enough problems trying to sort myself out over the last 61 years to be able to spend time doing that...LOL!) but I think it's fair to say we're all feeling as taught as piano wires at the moment and CL aint a happy place....for all that, there's nowhere else I'd rather be right now at this sad time...even if it hurts like hell sometimes to read some of the stuff.
I wonder if in a year or two we come back and read some of our posts that we can really believe we posted them (even this one maybe)?
Coming from me this might sound a bit rich....but I'm gonna at least try to cut folk some extra slack at present......no matter how sensible or level headed you might think you are, I honestly think just about all of us are in a bit of muddle at present and not our normal selves.

    well said Soundas i thik we all need to revert back to the once joyus and excellent forum that we had i only found this place in september 2007 just over a year ago now and i have really enjoyed being on here even if i dont agree with some things.

    the lifers coach to ipswich was one of my favorite away days in years gone by

    i hope that once the great depression lifts we can all get back to getting along even if we didnt agree

    To an extent I think it's because we're impotent. There's nothing we can physically do about the situation beyond continuing to turn up and cheer (or in some cases boo). We can't appoint a new manager, we can't pick the team or throw cups around the dressing room at half time! On the other hand we can support each other through CL and once we're through this dark and dismal tunnel look back and say 'Christ, I hope nothing like that ever happens again! Let's keep a closer eye on things in the future chaps'. Or something.

    I agree that the overwhelming feeling from most posters on here has been doom and gloom but the quality and passion of the debate which mercifully, in the main, has not sunk to hitting each other with low blows, still shows the strength of this site.

    I envy you if Charlton is the only thing you have to worry about.

    The tongue was firmly in my check with that comment. No I have many more things I worry about but not necessarily in the same way as I do the Addicks.
