Bulletin

edited December 2008 in General Charlton
Just got the bulletin and it quotes Parky talking about the fans and their reaction - somewhat of a Freudian slip methinks - let's hope it's not prophetic!

Parkinson added: "The fans were terrific against Southampton - although it was a 0-0 draw they clapped us off the pitch because they saw us have a real go.

"That wasn't the case against Derby, so I totally understand their response, and if I was on the terraces I would be exactly the same."

  • Also mentions Varney can play against us.
  • Even though we're still in deep doo-doo at least the guy isn't talking utter bollox like Pardew did. Fair play to him, big shame it doesn't look like he can turn things really.

He'll score on Monday night, just to rub even more misery into us.
  • no he wont he was shit (here we go again)
  • 1st goal scorer ?
  • I reckon it will be Hudson from a corner in the 13th min starting our 20 game winning streak under di canio

He scored 8 goals last season in about 23 starts. Clearly couldn't handle the pressure on him being Pardew's 'main man'. Not as if we create many chances either.

Better player than McLeod and no worse as a goalscorer either.

So Varney can play against us? Best news I've heard all day. That means if we can nick one lucky goal, three points are there for the taking!

Nice lad, works hard. But the same can be said of my paperboy.

Instead of the usual 'Charlton reject' chants, would it be too cruel if one of our wittier terrace songsters came up with something about him being sold to finance Pardew's new luxury villa in Spain?
