I heard some fans talking about the possibility of this happening and they were wondering if we are to go down this season, would it be better to lose ten points now rather than next season?
unless the board want their personal money back which is a bond rather than a loan then this won't happen, we owe the bank 5/6 million (not including interest) and the board members closwe to 15 million now I believe.
The ground is worth close to 30 million, the training ground another 5 million and the huge land up at kings hill's gotta be worth 5/6 million, and those are just the assets I know about.
no bank would force us into administration with those assets, they may njot lend us money but the loan is easily serviceable
I'm pissed bout the kings hill thing, we clearly are not gonna need to move the training ground, and in my opion don;t need to move, they should sell this land and clear more debt
i don't think Murray, or anyone else connected to the club owns the land. I think we would have been offered the land by an outside party, possibly council.

Oh right, I live up the road a bit, well bout 2 miles up road. Everyone who lives round us obviously just heard in press and assumed it had all gone through, possible was just an option given to us, and assumed had gone through, but the land is still empty and fenched off, which is wierd considering they build on any spare foot of land around there.
We have no land at Kings Hill. Moving to a new training ground there MIGHT allow the club to sell some of Sparrows Lane but with the Housing market in it's current boom....
You don't get a choice any more when the points are deducted with Administration.
The rules were changed to stop teams doing what dirty Leeds and others did by going in Administration just as they were mathematically relegated.
Unless you take the hit of 10 points before, I think, 31 March the league can decide that you did it deliberately to try and dodge the punishment and delay it until the next season.
In any case who says we are going into administration? Relegation doesn't automatically mean admin although, miricles apart we are going to be £11m down with the end of the parachute payments anyway. And that can only really come from the playing budget so if you think last summers sales were bad you are going to love the wholesale departures come May. But the kids will get a chance to shine.
But that doesn't automatically mean administration.
Our big headache is the Valley. It cost a lot more to run a big ground than a little one so we have a big fixed overhead to meet.

possibly owned by big corporote instead
Owned by the developers. To get planning permission they have to provide some community benefit such as sports facilities

I might put forward a proposal to leave it, maybe share somewhere else.

What do you reckon ?
Good to think outside the box sometimes and try something we haven't done before.
Where could we share? Would need a ground with good facilities that is within easy reach of Charlton IMHO

In my opinion.
I have no facts to base this on.
The ground is worth close to 30 million, the training ground another 5 million and the huge land up at kings hill's gotta be worth 5/6 million, and those are just the assets I know about.

where did you see that the club whoops I meant Murray owns this.
oh right sorry didn't realise it was murry owned and not charlton owned, thought we bought the site well almost 4 years back now.
I'm probably wrong though, wouldn;t be the first time
That's a defo for me.

Don't even joke about it!
"Dont turn up for next home game as we are sharing Slade Greens ground , they have als agreed to loan us a few players ---- keep smiling".
Does the 75 still go through Charlton Village?
