Highlights from last night.

edited December 2008 in General Charlton
The crowd of kids in the East Stand giving it to the cov fans... made me laugh a few times.

Getting served super quick at the bar due to lack of a crowd.

Having no one around us so could stretch my legs over to the seats in front.

Burtons Goal.

Being back in plumstead just after 10.15pm

My old man walking into a bollard near pc world and doing his knackers in!!!

  • The moany sod in front of me didnt bother turning up.
  • I had a hot chocolate at half time which wasn't as bad as i thought it might be, erm, oh and i bought my old girl a nice new scarf from the shop.
  • Seeing Glass Half Empty's Christmas Present for his Missus pre match (Charlton Salt & Pepper pots)

The Samaritans posters in the gents toilets (Never more appropriate than last night)

Getting home to the Bourne before 11.00pm despite the A2 being shut.
  • Getting stuck at work till gone 7 and not bothering to turn up....
  • I had a nice bit of goat cheese (as part of a christmas dinner) pre match!!
  • Gillingham beating Stockport meaning that as I went to see them on Saturday, my son and I can go to our game with Norwich on the Saturday and then to Gillingham/Aston Villa on the Sunday- at least something went right for me as when I got back to where I had parked my car I found that some bastard had tried to nick it and had put the quarterlight window in!

    The Final whistle.

Getting a tip off from 'lilsis' that the A2 was closed, so managed to avoid it and get home quicker.

  • Being on an plane and therefore oblivious to the result

And not having to listen to CAFC TV - what a rubbish idea that was ;-)

  • The horn incident.Missed the 1st goal because of it.
  • In the Lower north Block D near the front there's a bloke who repeatedly stands up and waves his arms around presumably trying to direct the players as to where he wants them to be.

For the entire game yesterday a small group a few rows behind him imitated him everytime he did it........Was hilarious. Bloke never noticed.
