whats negative about that we have wasted 7 games since the barnsley debacle for 2 points just stating a fact,it has the same memories of dowies sacking and then the appointment of reed

I'd hope for decisive action now but I'm not convinced we'll get it. As I was saying the other week with Parky in charge we'd lurch from one crises to another for a number of games picking up the odd point here and there but utimately we are just wasting time/games that the new manager needs to keep us in this division. I don't blame Parky but he's been part of the problem and whilst he is a caretaker he has no authority and the players have no need to impress him whatever we might think.
  • To be fair Large, you DID call that a while back.

Not looking good really is it. Thing is, nobody has got a proper answer. Everything and anything is a risk in one way or t'other.

Fugged if I know what to do either.
  • How about appointing a Manager who is used to a limited budget and can motivate a team of average players - and if the worst did happen (and we went down) would be capable of bringing us back up again because he knows what it takes to get out of League 1?
  • On paper -that man IS Phil Parkinson ....... gulp, Col Utd days
  • I was thinking of Nigel Adkins at Scunthorpe. He got them promoted (and for the reason given below they came straight back down again) and they are in contention again this season.

He's spent the grand total of less than £500,000 and had to sell players to the value of almost £4m including the likes of Martin Paterson to Burnley, Andy Keogh to Wolves and Billy Sharp to Sheffield United.

  • yes, Adkins has been mentioned before. As we are strapped for cash we could out our physio too and he could double up !! Seriously, a decent shout.
