Stuff

Ok here we go...me and my kids gave up our ST's at the end of last season, those that were around know there were many reasons, however when we did we were concerned that Pards would play the best footy seen at the Valley for a few seasons, and miss out, I'm sorry I was wrong it seems we have not missed much. I went to the Reading home game of the season and the enjoyment came back. For various reasons I have not been back yet and reading the posts on here I wont be back very soon, my bro goes most games and said dont bother you'll end up booing etc. I am one who will cheer like a loon when the lads do well, and boo when over the course of a few matches they cant put a 10 yard pass together. I like to think I give them a chance. I pays me money etc. Maybe I was wrong.
Now from what I understand our fans get on the players back as soon as a small error occurs, this cannot be healthy. We can all look for reasons why we are up sh1t creek, Murray saying he did not want Curbs to finish his final year with us rather than wait and see who is available. Dowie, Dowies sacking, panicing and appointing Les Read, Pards not getting long enough to keep us in the prem, Pards ego, selling our playing assets, no money, too many loan players, the list goes on and on, we cant change the past what we can do is change the present by not getting on the lads backs from the off. We've tried booing lets try encouragement. The old farts like me will remember the days when we just used to laugh at the players, now we dont want to return to those days. I spend my matchdays doing other things, I pretend that I'm not fussed about what happens, the truth is its killing me inside, the last 10 years have been wonderful at CAFC, lets get behind the players and management now....you never know, we might big a big difference. Cheers.

  • Totally agree, I hate the predicament we are in. After all the years of strruggle, to have got to the Premier League and the f*cked things up so monumentally is heartbreaking but I WILL NOT BOO THE MANAGER OR THE PLAYERS. To me it's counter-productive and even when they are playing like sh*t, they're still my team. If fans get on the players backs then we shall bring about the thing we want least.

I'll be there on Tuesday, standing as they come onto the pitch bigging them up. Maybe just maybe we'll be cheering them off as well.

Exact same thing Mick McCarthy (he was regarding how arsenal have been booing players of late) was saying earlier on sky sports. Saying that booing is only negative and doesnt help anyone, especially as it effects said player and also his fellow players around him.

Well said, Bing. Echo everything you've said.

  • Haven't really booed myself, but am telling you the performance on Saturday was shite.

That's why most people just sat there in adject silence.

When a few people told Boauazza what they thought they get castigated for doing so and told if you can't take it don't give it. However if Bouazza had put as much effort into his playing s he did his v signage then he would have been a star.
  • No one gave the players any grief on saturday until the end.

Even then I don't think it helped (and no, I didn't join in) - but then again I didn't have to do a 500 mile round trip to the game...
