  • Great - mentions the fact that he has electric pase to get in behind defenders - then brings Toddy on instead on Sat when needing a goal.

    managers.........the're all crackers.
  • Maybe he wasnt match fit, and was there for back up, he could well feature as sub over the next three to four games
  • Parky said he brought Toddy on because the ball wasn't sticking up front any longer, resulting in more pressure on our defence.

and he thought bringing on Toddy would help ??
  • LOL , don't shoot the messenger ....

I've only dug up what Parky said.

    ;o)

the scary thing was i thought we needed to bring izzy on on saturday and it was at that moment in time i realised how crap we've become cos if mcleod is where our hopes are at then we're in big big trouble cos imo he aint all that
  • Parky has been saying about 'building blocks of confidence' and stuff of that ilk.
So it was vital the team didn't end up losing late in that 2nd half.

McLeod might have caused chaos in their defence on the break, which might have led to a winner.
    - but the ball not sticking up front might equally have led to a Saints winner - so it sounds like Parky played the safer option in the context of the game.

It's probably what Curbs would have done.

    I'm sure it was, Oggy!

You know those fundamentalist Christian group in the US who wear those bracelets saying 'WWJD' (''what would Jesus do'') ?

Perhaps we could all club together and get Parky a sliver bracelet engraved 'WWCD'.

    LOL...
  • LOL, Nigel!

Mind you, even if Parky did do what Curbs would have done, you can bet the Curbs worshippers would have slagged him off for it!

    :o)
  • Good to see he realised we need pace up there at times.

Not that I rate McLeod (or Dickson), but they are the only quick strikers we have.
  • Sponsored links:

  • quick strikers who can hit the target (well the keeper) or old men who hold the ball up all the time? I know who i prefer....

    Put Bouazza upfront too!
  • VARNEY IS QUICK!!!!! Oh well ......

He played for the reserves in mid week so i'm sure he'd have coped. You don't need to be match fit to come on for the last 20 minutes. Would have liked to have seen a couple of balls over the top and him getting a run on Chris Perry.
