Not sure what "cut like a steak" means but when he first signed for us I thought he looked an excellent signing, then he got injured at Stoke on TV (I think) & never looked the same after that.

I met the Scunthorpe full back from that game on holiday the next year in Greece. Think his name was Kevan Hurst. When he saw my Charlton shirt he said “your right back is the best player I’ve ever come up against”.

I met him once in a chicken shop in Eltham highstreet. He ordered two meals for himself and ate in the shop, he said he had a couple weeks off after getting sent off for elbowing someone in a reserve game so was enjoying himself 😂
