Just done a trawl of what they're all saying - and guess what? They're all over the shop and it's pretty clear that they know nothing and are all guessing.
The Guardian reckons Curbs has ruled it out.
The Daily Mail reckons he's on stand-by for ''an emotional return'' but we may have to wait until he's settled his claim for unfair dismissal against West Ham.
The Telegraph leans towards Curbs and says exactly the opposite to The Guardian , namely that he has "refused to rule out a return'' and has ''left the door open''.
The Times thinks the frontrunner is Boothroyd and says we are looking to make ''a quick appointment''.
Lawrie Sanchez has given an interview to Setanta Sports in which he seems to be saying he'd be up for it.
Every paper uses a similar wording about Curbs being ''the overwhelming fans favourite''. None of them seem to reckon Parky has much chance of being made permanent. But that may just be because it's a far less sexy story than speculating about Curbs return.
The Sun has an angle I didn't see anywhere else. They claim that Pardew is getting a £1.6 million pay-off and when he was appointed he had it written into his contract that two-thirds of any contract severance money had to be paid within 12 days of his dismissal , so he's going to get a cheque for a cool million on Dec 4.
If true, that's terrible and more or less the same sum Spurs reportedly paid Ramos to go away. But the general rule with The Sun is to divide any figure they come up with by about four, so hopefully it's a lot less than they're claiming.
Hope that's useful. I suspect it tells us bugger all but it may save some of you from having to read the wretched rags !

I reckon its more or less between Parkinson and Curbishley and it will all depend if Murray can persuade Curbs to come back or not, if Curbs refuses then the job is Parkinsons.
I would be amazed if an outsider came in at this stage.
