  • well he has not ruled himself out then, in that interview
  • he may be west ham, but the way he handles himslef is very charlton......
  • To me, that reads like he has ruled himself into the running, if Parky doesn't get the job.
He could have very easily ruled himself out but has chosen to leave it open.

Exactly. I think if he were offered it, he'd take it, providing that the money were OK I suppose. Personally I'd like for Parky to be given a chance (just five games to see how he goes). If we get anyone else in I'd choose Curbs over anybody: we know he can do the job and we can't say that about anybody else.
  • Well, he was hardly going to say, "I would never go back there for all the tea in China", was he? Diplomatic as always.

Personally I think he would be mad to come back, from his point of view. I for one still remember all of those people who wanted him out - ringing up phone ins and posting garbage about "the next level" on here, and I'm sure it's not entirely lost on him either.
  • "I am sure I will be linked with the job but we will have to wait and see what happens.

    I dont know.....

    sounds alright......

its usual curbs to me.... saying nothing.....
  • IMHO Curbs should have already been asked.
  • I bet RM was the first person he called
  • Just heard him on Radio 5. One of the presenters read out a very complimentary message, begging him to come back to Charlton. His only comment: "Well, that's just 1 out of 20,000 isn't it?!"

That, plus comments he made last Sunday morning on Sky, give me the REAL impression that he is still very bitter about the way he was "forced" out of the Valley, as we tried to move onto "the next level".

I don't think he wants to come back, certainly not in the current "nothing to gain" circumstances. As I've said elsewhere, I really do believe that the Bord is sweating on Parky turning it around.
