In all his days as our manager,

did he ever show the fight for the job that he had when he was at the hamsters?

  • yes ..... when we beat villa at home 2-1 and launched into the crowd....
  • I loved his exit speech "I had a good record when I came to this club but they were on the slide when I took over and I couldn't stop it" I think he said "they" in the past tense whilst he was technically still the boss. Good to see that in the end it's a case of "it was like this when I got here guv, not my fault" so no blame for Pards at all!!
  • bit harsh, I am one of his detractors but I'd say he called it reasonably well.

Admittedly we have been on a very slippery slope for a good while but Pardew has had cash, he's been backed up by the board and in the final analysis his squad have not delivered even a minimum of what we could reasonably expect. The players have played their part undoubtedly but Pardew has essentially been woeful.
